Brad-Chem Develops New Corrosion Inhibitor For Metalworking Fluids And Cleaners

Further to the withdrawal of Corfree M1,Brad-Chem Ltd. has developed an easy-to-handle liquid alternative corrosion inhibitor for the cleaning and metalworking fluids markets. In order for Corfree M1 to be used as a corrosion inhibitor in water based fluids, this material needed to be neutralised.

We know that in some formulations the mixed acids were neutralised to approximately neutral pH (ca. pH 7), whereas in other formulations Corfree M1 was over based to mildly alkaline pH in end use. Our newly developed multi-metal Brad-Chem 588 is a similar mixture of acids, neutralised to approximately neutral pH which can be used as a direct replacement for the Corfree M1 and the bases that are commonly used to neutralise it to neutral pH liquid corrosion inhibitor.

If a replacement for an over based formulation is required, this can be achieved either by the addition of Brad-Chem 588 together with a small amount of a suitable base, or contact us for bespoke solutions to your reformulation needs.
